CAN I take this opportunity to abuse my position and place a small ad?

Builder wanted: Reputable builder required to create red and white extension to my house, including picture windows, balcony and enough toilet facilities for visiting guests. Potential budget of £8m.

  1. P1 Blue cladding on the new stand at Craven Park

Beggars belief: Blue cladding on the new stand at Craven Park.

By which, of course, I mean I want a blue square "office block", with small windows, nowhere to stand outside and not enough bogs.

I wonder where I could find a contractor who would be able to follow my instructions so carefully and with such attention to detail?

Oh wait, what are NPS doing?

You know. The part council-owned development company which has managed to transform Hull KR's new dream North Stand into something that wouldn't look out of place on an Slough industrial estate.

Theses are the guys who, if asked to build the Eiffel Tower, would have instead delivered a concrete skate park. I'm not surprised the top brass at Craven Park are spitting feathers. To be frank, it beggars belief that we've got to the stage where it's actually being built before any alarm bells started ringing.

Surely, at some point, at least one project manager should have thought: "Hold on a minute, what colours does this team play in again?"

I'm going to buy shares in a red and white paint company –- I feel demand is going to surge in the next few weeks. Anyway can someone pass me NPS' number? I want a shed or a pond building.

If I ask for one I'm sure to get the other.

“All of the cladding doesn't have to be replaced. A few vertical strategically placed, well designed Red and White full length vertical panels will suffice. However, the issues surrounding the bar areas, toilets and turnstiles must be addressed. Not necessarily in that order.

As an afterthought, the bars could serve some decent cask conditioned ale. That would be an advantage, perhaps I am hoping for too much!”

“Cant really see the problem here.A quick paint job is all thats needed.
Surely its the other side of the stand facing the pitch that matters.
Whats the point in spending more money on toilets when the planners know there will be no one in the stand to use them.”

“The cladding has been going onto the structure for weeks, before it was finally finished. Are we supposed to believe that NH and all the management/workers driving in and out daily, did not spot this and say something. Seems strange don't you think
Or is it more the case that 'one' new about what had been sanctioned and chose to only speak out when it was too late to alter, but in order to gain public sympathy for the current financial mess and have a spike at the Black and Whites too. Mmmmmm I wonder ?”

“What i cannot understand when the blue facia started going up ,why wasn`t anything said ,it did not go up in one day and there is a lot of it,all along the various stages of building work has to be signed off as acceptible ,what went wrong or were there no checks done ?,if it is the fault of the company building the stand they should be held to account for it, it seems to have been a farce from the start.”
