Cyclist, 48, dies after accident on A1035 Tickton road

A cyclist who was involved in a collision with a lorry near Tickton has died.

As reported in the Mail, the accident happened on the A1035 between Routh and Tickton, between 6.30am and 6.45am yesterday.

The 48-year-old local man, who has not yet been named by police, was travelling from the direction of Routh towards Beverley when he was involved in a collision with the Renault lorry that was travelling in the same direction.

He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by ambulance with life-threatening injuries but died at 5.20pm yesterday.

The driver of the lorry, a 38-year-old Bridlington man, was uninjured.

Witnesses are asked to call PC Steve Youngson at Driffield Police Station, referring to log number 61 of October 14.
