Got To Dance fame for Hannah Goodhall and Natalie Coolledge as their Hash Tap comedy act hits Sky 1

THEY used to be dance rivals but came together through their love of tap and pranks.

Hannah Goodhall and Natalie Coolledge are soon to find TV fame on Sky 1 talent show Got To Dance.

The Hessle girls, both 23, only became a comedy tap duo a week before their audition in London.

Natalie took a bit of persuading but they soon got in the swing of it and came up with a horse-riding act filled with galloping antics.

Hannah said: "We've known each other for 19 years but didn't used to speak a lot, because we would compete.

"I would win one contest and Natalie would win the next but we started talking about seven years ago and became really good friends.

"She's the best tap dancer I know and I've always wanted to be on the show and decided to sign up without telling her.

"It took a bit to get her to agree to it but I think we are different to the other competitors.

"Everyone else was wearing glitter and cat-suits and there was us in our riding gear. People thought we were a joke."

But they certainly were not joking around when they took to the stage to impress the judges and said the experience was a "blur" because they were so nervous.

Natalie said: "There was an audience of about 600 people and judges including Aston Merrygold, of JLS, but we didn't think about that.

"Although we don't take ourselves too seriously, we take tap dancing very seriously and wanted to do well.

"In the rehearsal we nailed it but we are nervous to see it on TV.

"I don't think I opened my eyes for half of it, it was like I was asleep."

The pair decided to travel to London on their own because they were afraid of what their friends and family might say if they did not get through.

Hannah said: "We want to make tap as cool as street for the younger generation and make people laugh.

"I knew the two of us together would be brilliant and being on the show has been a great experience, the other contestants are so talented.

"People will probably hate our accents but we had fun and it all went by so quickly."

If Hash Tap, as they are known, make it through to next stage, they will perform at the semi-final in London and will be one step closer to the life-changing cash prize of £250,000.
