“I think they should put a statue of Lard Prescott opposite Mr Chu's , he's performed there on many occasions doing his " watch all this food on the table in front of me disappear trick" and the statue could have a second use as a health warning, " eat here to much, and look like this".

I'll start the ball rolling with ten quid towards it.”

“I thought there was a statue of Ferens on Holderness road or am I thinking of James Reckitt? PeeScooper

No PeeScooper there is NOT a statue of TR Ferens on Holderness Road nor of James Reckitt. The statue at the end of Village Road is of James Stuart and was erected and paid for by his friend and colleague Thomas Ferens”

“The other article, on this famous Hull singer, states in the headline that the statue is musical. So at least for the younger generation, who have not heard of him, they will be able to listen to his music being emitted from the statue.”
