I'll carry the weight you lose: Ex-sniper's slimming challenge in Hull's East Park
TEAMS watched as their fitness leader sweated it out in East Park, carrying 53kgs on his back to celebrate their weight loss.
Dean Adamson, an ex-Army sniper, who now runs classes with British Military Fitness, ran six miles around the Holderness Road park as part of a special event.

Dean, 29, of Cottingham, said: "We've had some great success stories and seeing me carrying the weight has inspired even more people.
"I was in the Army for five years and left in 2005, so it's been a while since I carried that amount.
"It was difficult but it was worth it and a great way to mark how well the members have been doing."
Dean came up with the quirky celebration and posted a message on the club's Facebook site to ask people for their weight-loss figures.
"There will be others who have lost weight within the group," he said. "We also invited the public along to take part in an assault course on the day.
"We normally hold a Saturday morning session but this was something a bit different for everyone.
"About 30 people turned up and in the summer months we can expect up to 60 training."
British Military Fitness has three levels of training during activity days, from beginners and intermediate to advanced.
Dean said people don't have to be fit when they join and they can take part at their own pace.
The club, which hosts boot camp days all over the country, has been running for four years, and the Hull organisation continues to grow.
Emma Wilson, 30, of Holderness Road, has lost just over 2st in the past two months.
After injuring her back and piling on the pounds, going from 9st to 13st, she wanted to get back into fitness.
Emma said: "I'd seen military fitness sessions on American films and it seemed like a good idea.
"We all have a great laugh and I'm glad I'm lost weight, I can't stick to gyms.
"What Dean did to mark our weight-loss was very brave and it shows he's just as committed as we are."
