The students also heard first-hand experiences of prison life from two serving inmates at Hatfield open prison.
Mr Robinson said: "This is a prime example of how to engage young people and show them the harsh consequences of crime. The workshops, presentations and student interaction were all excellent.
"I would recommend all schools to make use of Prison, Me? No Way! We need to get these messages home to our children at an early stage, and show them there is a better path for them to follow than being tempting into criminal activity and the abuse of alcohol and drugs. "

“Perhaps an affordable education for the young and jobs for when they qualify would help.
Can't all be shelf stackers as recommended by Iain Duncan Smith.
Have you resigned from ERYC yet Mr Robinson? Has Grove?”

“The Deputy has been on the sidelines recently and people were beginning to think just what exactly is this guys role. The fact that the Commissioner seems to have been coping splendidly on his own was making the 45 grand a year post of a Deputy seem a bit of an unnecessary extravagance, so its reassuring to see the Deputy actually doing something useful.......
Dont know if its true, but rumour has it that Mr Robinson may be attending another workshop giving advice to students on the dangers and consequences of using a mobile phone whilst driving.
A senior police officer will also attend to give a friendly chat.”
