Details of the Tour de France route through Yorkshire to be unveiled tonight
First details of the Tour 2014 are being announced at a press conference in Paris this morning.
However, full details of the route through Yorkshire are being kept under wraps until a press confence held by Welcome to Yorkshire later this afternoon.
Announcing the decision to bring the Grand Depart to Yorkshire, Tour director Christian Prudhomme said: "Since the resounding success of the Grand Depart in London in 2007, we were very keen to return to the United Kingdom.
"Bradley Wiggins' historical victory last July and the enormous crowds that followed the cycling events in the streets of London during the Olympic Games encouraged us to go back earlier than we had initially planned.
