Goole trains will continue to be disrupted until Sunday, Northern Rail has announced.

Emergency engineering works are being carried out at Hatfield and Stainforth, near Doncaster due to a landslip, believed to have been caused by the movement of a spoil heap at Hatfield colliery.

As a result buses are replacing trains between Doncaster and Goole and Scunthorpe, with journey times extended by up to 60 minutes.

Services between Sheffield and Bridlington and Scarborough are being diverted via Selby, and will not call at Goole.
