Dove House to open department store in Hull's Hessle Road
DOVE House Hospice's biggest store yet will be opening in Hessle Road next month.
The store is number 33 in the hospice's chain and is also its first department store.
It will sell everything from bric-a-brac to jewellery, clothing, children's toys and sportswear.
Shop manager Sue Donoghue said: "The shop is going to be more like a bigger version of a charity shop but split into departmental sections.
Our transparent fixed sales fees set us aside from the competition, offering full Estate Agency Service for a fixed fee regardless of the value of your home.

"It will be a mini department store. This is the first of its kind for us, so it is very exciting."
However, despite being a department store, the charity says that will not alter the cost of the goods.
Sue said: "We want to keep our prices low to cater for our customers, many of who are unemployed, on low incomes or are single parents."
In order to stock the shop, collections have been taking place for the past couple of months.
But supporters of the hospice are being encouraged to use the festive period as an excuse to clear out any unwanted items to donate to the store.
Volunteers are also needed to run the larger shop.
Sue said: "Donations are coming in quite often but we still need people's support ready for when it opens.
"Receiving a lot of Christmas presents might be a good excuse to have a clear out of older things, which could be donated to our store.
"We are also looking for volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to add extra experience to your CV and allows you to show how you have used you time, if you are currently looking for paid employment.
"Our shops are also a fantastic place to pick up transferrable skills such as retailing and customer service."
The store will be trading at 278-282 Hessle Road – the former Discount Clothing Store site.
A date has not yet been set for the opening but it is expected to start business in the new year.
