FOR most people, a bus is just an easy way to get around.

But where others see a mode of transport, Adam Glentworth finds rich history and a world of possibilities.

He said: "I started to become interested when I started travelling to school on buses.

"They all look similar but they're all different in a way.

"You've got lots of different makes and engines."

Adam is keen on EYMS in particular because of its commitment to enthusiasts.

He was given a behind-the-scenes tour of the company's Bridlington bus depot and, while there, asked if he could have a high-visibility jacket with the EYMS logo.

"They let me have a look around," Adam said.

"I asked for a hi-vis jacket and they said they would see what they could do.

"I have a big interest in the history of EYMS buses."

Adam's love for the travel company eventually reached the ears of chief executive Peter Shipp.

He arranged to meet Adam and presented him with a fleece.

"We appreciate our enthusiasts and we've got a very good enthusiast website," Mr Shipp said.

"Adam's a good lad and he's been to our depots.

"We produced a jacket for him with 'bus enthusiast' on it."

Adam was delighted with his gift.

"It's really nice to have," he said.

His dad Shane, 55, is amazed by Adam's knowledge.

"To me, a bus is a bus, but to him, it's not," he said.

"Adam will spend hours looking at bus history and taking photographs."
