East Yorkshire woman, 18, dies in car crash on B1249

An 18-year-old East Yorkshire woman has died after a crash on the B1249 near Driffield today.

Police said her grey Suzuki car hit a telegraph pole.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened close to Tranmere Farm shortly before 10am.

The woman was driving from Driffield towards Langtoft.

The road was closed until 2.55pm.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the accident to call 101, quoting log 180 of November 16.
