Eastenders hope for cup return
FOOTBALL
EASINGTON United will return to action for the first time in five weeks when they entertain Belper United in the second round of the Baris League Challenge Cup tomorrow.
The Eastenders have not kicked a ball since losing 5-0 at Westella Hanson in the CML North Division at the start of December and this weekend's clash is also subject to improving weather conditions.
With skipper Jamie Cousins still struggling because of an ankle injury, manager Sean McLaughlin looks likely to include new signings Billy Melton and Dave Westoby in his squad.

James Dawson could also return, but suspensions have robbed McLaughlin of goalkeeper Ben Akam and Karl Fitzgerald, while Robbie Hunt and Brett Fisk are also unavailable.
Belper are currently riding high in only their second season in the Central Midlands League. They are sitting in second place in the South Division, just a point behind leaders Newark Town and with a game in hand.
