'Experimental' parking rules for roads near Thomas Ferens Academy
New experimental waiting restrictions have been put in place near Thomas Ferens Academy.
Hull City Council has put in the enforcements in Tudor Drive and Queensway after residents raised concerns about increased traffic generated by the new school.
New road markings including some "limited waiting" areas to prevent parking during school pick-up times begin in Tudor Drive today and in Queensway from Friday, September 14.
There will be fewer double yellow lines overall.

"If the new waiting restrictions prove to be successful, then they may become permanent."

“Tomorrow at 08:45 am, we will see how bad it really is I hope we are all pleasantly surprised and the rest of Northern Hull can go back to sleep knowing that there is a new future in education and not one in whining and complaining.”

“Well Audrey I will assure you I would not vote at all if they were the only choice lets face it he was useless as a docker and the next to useless to the union and later to Humberside that's why they made him the leader of Humberside so he didn't get in the way. I mean he is 80 now and some of the things he has said in the last few years are just comical I mean he reckoned in 2002 that the Lib Dems are the best thing that ever happened to this city. Well they had made him the Lord Mayor the idiots and he did turn and bite the hand that fed him by keeping DRASS open a few extra weeks till when he and Colin Inglis investigated, found out how bad they really were.”

“Only you know who you voted for, but your last sentence certainly gives that impression.”

It's your own fault for voting them in - some people never learn do they!?”

“Well that's what happens when you put an octogenarian geriatric in charge of culture and youth, last year he said the freedom festival was a waste of money. This year its great, but there again this year he is getting £23, 500 on top of his pensions(take note) to say it and do nothing about the traffic problems in his ward. Same with his mate Clllr Bayes a full time nurse at HRI and portfolio holder for regeneration another £23.5K, then of course Cllr Connor is the Chairman of Northern Area, pension and £17,600 a year. Well you vote for them and they do nothing for you do they.”

“It seems to me that this system they have is not a Mr Bean job why did,n.t they have the buses and other forms of transport going into the school instead. Has the planners have got it wrong serious problems will occur,a double zebra crossing which is most unusal, talk about rushing to get a school finished on time, it will cost somebody his or her jobs.”

“Bettyboop, It is only a couple of weeks ago, Geraghty was spouting in the HDM that he didn't think there were going to be any parking problems and people were panicing. So if he is your Councillor and god help you if he is, then you need to tell him otherwise.”

“Betty Boop the fact is Councillor Mathieson and Councillor McCobb those two worked their socks off knocking on doors and delivering the whole of Queensway and Tudor Drive in the ward they represent, asking people what they wanted, perhaps you should ask as your area is in Orchard Park Ward is where are Councillor Bayes, Councillor Geraghty, and Councillor Connor why aren't they knocking on doors asking what you need could it be they know no matter how lazy they are that they will get in with low turnouts and and don't care.”
