Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock hails Alex Brown hat-trick
HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock hailed hat-trick hero Alex Brown after the 42-22 win at London, but says he still has plenty to learn.
KR made it back-to-back wins for the first time since last June with a 42-22 win in the capital.
Brown ran in a first-half trio of tries to earn the Robins' first away win of the Super League season, but Sandercock says Brown still has areas to develop.
"Obviously you have to be happy with any player that scores three tries, said Sandercock.

"If Alex keeps doing that week in, week out it will be difficult to drop him.
"But there are still a lot of things he needs to learn, and we will sit down with him, watch the tapes and work on those things.
"Back-to-back wins builds confidence, and we can work on this."
Rovers did their damage in the first half with six tries, three of which were converted by Michael Dobson.
Kris Welham scored two but Alex Brown was the star of the first half with a blistering hat-trick. Greg Eden also scored with Craig Gower replying for the Broncos.
London made a game of it at the start of the second half with Kieran Dixon and Chris Bailey scoring to make it 30-18 before Rovers killed the game off through tries from Liam Salter and Cory Paterson.
A late Sarginson try was nothing more than a consolation try for London as Rovers won 42-22.

“For me the most pleasing performance on Saturday was that of Keal Carlile. As Slammer said, he had a quiet spell in the second half but overall he looked very competent and didn't lack the confidence to scoot himself from dummy half when half a chance presented itself.
Brown obviously took the headlines and he took his tries well, but I was most impressed by the number of carries he made coming out of our own end. He didn't hesitate in coming to look for work. When other wingers make carries during exit sets it is more or less and "easy tackle" for the middle defenders as wingers don't run as hard and they just look to find their front as quickly as posible but Brown probably runs with the same weight and power as a fair few props. I can imagine that this is a real pain for defenders as he has the pace of a winger to go with it.
Burns isn't at his very best yet and quite understandably, however his presence alone is stopping teams from numbering up as much on Dobson which has obvious benefits. His short pass to Patterson for his try was very much akin to one of the many tries that Galea benefited from in previous years. I can see Patterson going over for similar scores a lot this year.
Overall a very pleasing performace. Can't argue with a 92% completion rate. A low penalty count was great to see as well. Conceding 22 points against London could be cause for a minor concern, however some form of fight back was inevitable after the first 40 that Rovers produced as it's very difficult to keep that level of play up. The difference this week though was that London had to claw their way to the line for all but one try and Rovers had the steel to stem the tide. Now that they know how to do that as a team, we could hopefully see a more stubborn defense on a regular basis.
Baring in mind the injuries that Warrington had, I think that Bradford, especially with Sammut firing the way he is, will pose the biggest attacking threat that Rovers will have faced so far this year. Should be very interesting...”

“swannyred, yes Paterson is a goal kicker. I'm not too concerned about Dobbo's falling strike rate but I know it will be bothering him. He will sort it out but if not there's Hally, Paterson and Burns to fall back on.”

“A good win, but one area of concern for me is the low conversion rate of goal kicks. Most teams now seem to be getting a good percentage of touchline conversions, but ours is quite low. On Saturday 5 from 9 kicks is not great, and in tight games we will lose out. Two seasons ago Dobson would probably have salvaged something from the Salford game, and is not on good kicking form at the moment. Many teams have 2 or 3 competent kickers,so apart from Hall, do we have anyone else? Can Paterson kick goals?”
