High Street chain Republic 'close to administration'
HULL: Yorkshire retail fashion chain Republic is reported to be close to entering administration.
The chain, which has a store at Princes Quay shopping centre, employs about 1,000 people, with a head office in Leeds.
It could enter administration as early as today,
The retailer, which is owned by private equity group TPG, has been hit by poor trading over recent months.
