THE other flood- alleviation measure being installed off York Road in Beverley is an East Riding Council retention wall between the homes in Willow Grove and the lowest point of the Westwood.

Jon Goodman questions where the water will be diverted to. He believes it may go elsewhere in Beverley, such as North Bar.

The council says the scheme has been designed so water meets the wall and is held and then naturally drains away.
