Fight continues to save Hull Seven Seas factory
City officials are meeting Seven Seas bosses to find out what it would take to keep the Hedon Road factory open.
Staff are more than a third of their way into the 90-day consultation period, sparked when the firm proposed to outsource its manufacturing and packaging.
The move would also see the firm's commercial operations switch to London, leaving 249 workers facing an uncertain future.
Seven Seas is to meet with representatives from the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership, Hull City Council and MP Karl Turner on Monday to understand what would persuade Seven Seas to stay in the city.

“"sparked when the firm proposed to outsource its manufacturing and packaging."
Something I feel is being conveniantly ignored.
Is the site viable if they are to cease manufacturing on it? Its not exactly unthinkable as to why they may wish to shift their commercial operations to London is it!?
What, exactly, are you going to do about that Kart Turner?”

“I used to deliver to seven seas and there is ample room to build and invest a the back of the factory so why not close the London factory down and bring it up hear which is cheaper in wages”

“Most customers are not loyal, switching from one business to another at the drop of a hat.
Are the MP's there, btw, offering to create jobs?”
