Freedom Festival: Family fun in Queens Gardens
From inflatable sheep to donkeys and haystacks, Queens Gardens was bustling with families today as the Freedom Festival continued to amaze both young and old alike.
A fantastic day of family fun and entertainment has taken place in the city centre today including a sports day with a difference, a naughty pigs sack race and of course face painting and edible treats galore.

Families enjoyed a picnic in Queens Gardens
Families started arriving at Queens Gardens as early as 10am to make the most of the beautiful sunshine, and they weren't disappointed.
Sandy Eddom from Hull, who brought grandson Daniel Shaw out for the day said: "THis year's Freedom Festival has been the best yet for the children. There Is so much for them to do! We've only been here since 11:45am and think we will be here for hours."

Thanks to Aardman Animations, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, children of all ages had fun rolling giant-sized Shaun the Sheeps around a hay maze, trying to collect eggs from some inflatable chickens; and of course jumping into a pig sack for a sack race with a difference.
Local based companies also provided plenty of entertainment for the family.
Hessle based Scrapstore brought with then various tin boxes, cans and sticks to create a sound playground for the children to make their own music.
Charles Huckvale from Scrapstore said: "This is all about children exploring music and making sounds and just having fun!
"The kids we have seen so far are having a great time."
Cottingham-based designer Fran Angus dressed up as a princess with her very own pink flamingo to create her very own game of croquet with a difference called Croquet in Wonderland.
Fran said: "The weather today is fantastic and everyone is in a really good mood and it's great to see the children enjoying themselves."
