Future of Hull nursery schools to be discussed
Councillors have given the go-ahead for a formal consultation to start over the long-term future of two nursery schools in Hull.
Clifton Nursery, in Burslem Street, city centre, and Lambert Street Nursery, west Hull, also operate as children's centres.
The review comes after concerns about relatively low pupil numbers at both sites.
Councillor Helene O'Mullane, portfolio holder for children's services said: "We have been working with the schools for over a year to improve footfall but it has not worked."

Speaking at yesterday's cabinet meeting, deputy leader Councillor Daren Hale said the council needed to be clear about future possible uses for the two buildings if either was recommended for closure following the consultation.
