Hull FC: Peter Gentle happy with York role for new boy Joe Arundel
HULL FC coach Peter Gentle says new signing Joe Arundel was sent to York to help him enjoy his rugby again and alleviate the pressure on his young shoulders.
Arundel was a try-scorer in Hull's opening defeat of the season at Leeds, but was dropped for Sunday's home win over Bradford.

New boy Joe Arundel is unlikely to feature when Hull FC take on St Helens.
Handed the number three shirt after arriving from Castleford, he did miss the majority of last season because of injury.
Despite being named in the squad to face St Helens tomorrow, Arundel is unlikely to feature given Hull's win over the Bulls.

And Gentle says the 21-year-old needs game time, and that he will continue to make the most of the partnership with York.
"Joe played at York as we need to get some footy into him," said Gentle.
"He's played very little in the last 12 months and he needs to get some footy, get his timing right, go up there and get some tries, make a few tackles and have a few runs to start enjoying his football again.
"There is a lot of pressure coming in to a new club and a lot of competition for positions, so we've relieved a bit of pressure on Joe by sending him to play at York."
Having expressed his delight at the response shown by his players to their defeat by Leeds, Gentle has retained the same squad for tomorrow's clash, with still no return for injured duo Danny Tickle and Liam Watts.
"We can always make a response after disappointment, but we need to challenge ourselves so we don't have to be making a response," added the coach.
"We don't want to be backed into a corner and have to come out fighting, we need to set our standards and stick to that. I am very happy with the Bradford result, but the scope for improvement is immense. "I don't pick the side on whether we win or lose, I pick the side on performance and that's the beauty of having plenty of depth in the squad. "There are guys playing at York who probably deserve a chance, but until someone puts a foot out of line, we won't change it."

“Ainsley: Then we have to trust in Gentle's man management skills. Arundel is a young kid and his missed tackles will have dented his confidence and his injury. Getting smashed at SL level week in week out won't help but building confidence at a lower level might. The lad has to understand that he is in a competitive squad not walking into a poor side like Cas.”

“If you look at his stats for that Leeds game the one that stands out is 7 missed tackles. He is coming back from a shoulder injury so I think this is a good move to help him get his timing right as the article says. Anyone who has played the game knows that after a period of absence fitness and timing take time to come back and hopefully this will help him. Ben Crooks still more likely to play majority of games for me this year with a bit of luck but Arundel is only 21 and will be a long term replacement for Yeamen all being well.”
