Green light for Market Weighton homes plan
Planners have given the green light to a scheme for a new health centre and up to 325 homes at Market Weighton.
East Riding Council's planning committee raised few objections to the proposal that will transform farmland at Wold View, in Holme Road.
There were last minute concerns relating to the timescale for a new roundabout to be provided, as well as a request for Natural England guidelines to be met.
So, instead of following initial officer advice to approve the scheme, members opted to follow new advice and defer and delegate it for officer approval once conditions are met.

“Hopefully the developers will be made to use LOCAL workers instead of shipping in the cowboys from darn sarth, poland etc etc . Hull has a lot of builders, groundworkers, laboureres, plumbers, plasterers, sparkys all fighting to scrape a living so give them a chance!!!! Local jobs for local workers!!!!!”

“Yes keep on building over the countryside - more destruction, more of our natural habitat gone, more people, more cars, just the job to totally screw the planet up.
When the last tree has been cut down, the last river has been polluted and the last fish has been caught -- only then do you realize that money can't buy everything:”
