Tall TV funnyman Greg Davies is to make two appearances in East Yorkshire later this year.

The hulking 6ft 8in comic, who's best known for playing psychotic teacher Mr Gilbert in The Inbetweeners, has announced he will play The Spa, Bridlington, and Hull City Hall in November as part of his new The Back Of My Mum's Head tour.

The show will apparently feature anecdotes about his younger life – when he wasn't quite so tall – growing up in Shropshire.

The 44-year-old scored major success with his first national solo tour, entitled Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog, last year.
