Group a 'powerful voice' on healthcare issues
HULL: A new organisation is being launched to give residents their say in health and social care.
Healthwatch Hull is being launched on April 1, after Hull City Council awarded the contract for the initiative to Hull CVS.
Healthwatch is an independent champion for people who use health and social care services.
It will also provide information and signposting about services in the city.

Michael Hills, the chairman of Hull CVS, said: "I'm delighted we have been selected to develop Healthwatch Hull.
"We're committed to providing a powerful voice on issues that affect people using health and care services."
Healthwatch Hull will be established as a social enterprise independent of both the council and the NHS and will replace Hull Link (Local Involvement Network), which has been hosted by Hull CVS since 2008.
The new body will have greater powers to strengthen the patient and public voice in local services.
