Grunnill made repeated threats to kill victim
NIGEL Grunnill had a three-week relationship with Claire Gray after meeting her in LA's nightclub in 1997 as she celebrated her brother's 18th birthday.
He started leaving stones outside her home and watched her every move.
She obtained a civil injunction against him and then took him to court in 1999 for harassment and he was given a restraining order banning him from going within 100m of her east Hull home.
In 2003, he breached another order four times and was jailed for eight months.

Grunnill was taken back to court in 2004 for breaching the restraining order three times before he was jailed for eight years in 2005 for threatening to kill Miss Gray.
His sentence was reduced to six years at the Court of Appeal.
Prior to his planned release date in April last year, Grunnill made repeated threats to kill his victim to probation officers.
He stood trial in May but the case collapsed due to lack of court time.
Grunnill finally pleaded guilty in September and has now been given an indefinite hospital order.
