HULL KR put last week's disappointing defeat at Salford behind them with a superb 26-12 win over Warrington Wolves at MS3 Craven Park.

Trailing 12-6 at the break, Rovers scored 20 unanswered points to keep the Wolves scoreless in the second half.

Rovers opened the scoring in the fifth minute through Dave Hodgson in the left hand corner but Michael Dobson missed the conversion. Dobson however, did add a penalty in the 17th minute to make it 6-0 before Warrington found a way into the game.

Stefan Ratchford used every inch of his frame to score from dummy half with Brett Hodgson adding the extras to make it 6-6. Tony Smith's side went into the break 12-6 in front when Ryan Atkins out jumped KR debutant Alex Brown to score in the 31st minute with Hodgson accurate again with the conversion.

Craig Sandercock was able to call on Travis Burns for the first time since his signing in the off-season and he played a bit part in Rovers turning the deficit into a win.

Cory Paterson got the important first try of the second half which Dobson converted for a 12-12 tie. Dobson's penalty four minutes later edged KR in front 14-12 with 18 minutes to play. Rovers defended tenaciously as Warrington grew impatient. With five minutes to go, Dave Hodgson scored his second and in the last minute, debutant Alex Brown scored to make it a memorable day for the winger.

“Didn't see the game myself so can't comment on performance only the score line. So my comment…..That was amazing….bloody well done the players.

As for FC I just can't get to grips with. Clubs are split in to the commercial business, directors etc and the teams' players. Often it is glaringly obvious where the troubles lay in a club but this time with FC I've no idea really where the faults lie. I'm sure some Red posters will enlighten me.

Have been reading posts on here all week and for me it just doesn't have the same buzz as it did in the 80's when both our teams where rivals and both at the top of the game. Then there was something to shout about.

On the birth of Super league the move to summer rugby was a good decision however not to have relegation and promotion for me makes it stale. FC could go on to lose for the rest of the season but it won't matter except to the posters on here. It means there is no real drive no real fight on the pitch for survival only for individuals to keep their place in the first team.

Will KR go on from strength to strength……naaa

Will FC have a sudden turn around and go from strength to strength…….naaa

KR will probably finish mid table and FC somewhere nearby. Normal service resumes.

IMO the make-up of Super league needs to change and create a healthy vibrant sport where there is a real fight for both survival and success rather than a scramble for the best pension scheme or a place of residence for rest bite.”

“Fantastic result CS and his team, need to push on now as we almost have a full fit squad.

my biggest worry is that yet again a sports team from Hull are on Sky again and as yet not a single win for any of our teams, this is the opportunity to put that ghost to bed next week

    rally round the Robins.”

“wow i did not see that coming great win all we have to do is back it up on sat night on sky against london then bradford and cas if we keep improving defence and attack and not try and score off every play i did feel some part of today we over played some plays leading to cheap turnover of ball, also these muppets who say we did well against a weakend warrington team to be fair kr had players out too, hall, caro, withers, ohara, gleeson and adam walker suspended so we played on a even keel, ok so you may say the players out for warrington were world beaters but then again you played a slightly weaker widnes team than we did and how many did you lot put past them? did you go 34 to 0 up by half time oh wait no you didn't so how is that top 4 looking cos i saw the league table hull fc 12th kr 8th they must of made a mistake surley. and i agree oissetta about sandercock i haven't moaned about him just wanted him to get across to the players that defence wins games. so hopefully we can kick on and win the next 4 games before we hit the real top four teams wigan and saints”

“A new low for Gateshull fans

Someone turning up at Aaron heremaia house knocking on the door and spouting abuse before driving off.

    ‏@Azaheremaia
To the idiot who comes to my house and bags me then drive off when I come out grow up. #beaman #knockonmydoor

    Come on, who was it?

Got to be one of the head the balls from the Gateshull posters

All thus just 24 hours after their player were caught tweeting and laughing at their own team performance during the game.
