HULL CITY: Bullard heads north to hammer out Celtic loan move
JIMMY Bullard has met Celtic manager Neil Lennon to discuss terms over a possible season-long loan move to Parkhead.
The 31-year-old club record signing travelled to Glasgow yesterday in a bid to finally resolve his playing future.

Jimmy Bullard could seal a season-long loan deal.
Bullard had returned to training at Hull City with the rest of the squad on Monday, saying he was still undecided over his future.
However, the Mail understands he was left in no uncertain terms that he should take up the opportunity of joining Celtic for the coming season.
It follows an agreement being reached between City and the Scottish giants for the former Fulham and Wigan midfielder to join on a season-long loan.
The Mail understands Celtic will cover a significant part of Bullard's £45,000-a-week salary, with the deal now down to Bullard and Celtic agreeing other personal terms.
Bullard has made just 13 appearances since signing for £5m just 18 months ago.
It is thought City would be reluctant to play Bullard next season should he fail to agree terms at Celtic and remain at the club.
The Mail understands he has condition in his contract entitling him to a 'performance related' bonus should he play another two games, and for every 15 further appearances.
Bullard was dropped for the final two games of last season, with City already relegated from the top flight, meaning he didn't reach the required games to claim the wage hike.

Thanks for the links, Mel - it certainly makes you think!
Are we a different proposition to Derby and have lessons really been learned?
I await the coming season with great interest and a lot of hope.
Let's all keep a positive mind-set until given cause to do otherwise. UTT! :-)”

The difference is what he said then and what he is saying now for example:
Pearson was also keen to stress that the Rams board had fully backed manager Paul Jewell in the transfer market.
"I can categorically state that it has," he said.
"We have spent £9.5m on players coming in since January 1 and we've taken in about £6m in total. So there's an investment.
"We've still got to find £3m this month for Claude Davis, Kenny Miller, David Jones and Benny Feilhaber ¿ so that's another significant investment.
"We've brought in some very expensive wages as far as free transfers, as they're laughably known, go.
"We've got probably the second-biggest wage bill in this league. In fact, it's too high.
"So we obviously need to reduce that if I'm doing my job properly. The wage bill needs to come down rather than go up.
"The manager has been given every player that he's requested. He's stopped me from spending on people such as (Ferrie) Bodde, when I wanted to increase the offer.”

“Lot of latter posts on here I agree with; Di, Tony M, Alan W (but not so over the moon on NP/ more wait & see) & Mel U . But Mel ; your point about Derby / surely AP took them down too,so which differences do you detect? (I'm not familiar with the whole Derby saga.)
Re World Cup / SA; Sums up the state of things when passengers on commercial flights (ie. the average guys) miss the semi-final because the airspace gives precedence to private jets!! That's without considering the expense in stadium building (sometimes with corruption & even murder involved - allegedly) while huge numbers of the population live in shacks. It's the rich wot get the pleasure!!”

“The pre-season match @ Rotherham has been cancelled as NP does not want to play a game the night before City fly out to Faro-Portugal. It makes sence.”

“John great post, just the thought of it.
Now he knows for certain that we will not be paying him a match bonus Jimmy must really consider the move to Celtic as his only option, so I wish him well and thank him for the hope that he gave us.
Next!”

“Jack, I think you are very perceptive, as that seems to be the likely outcome, our you have been consulting the Octopus who so far has predicted the outcome of the world cup games. Either way it will be intesting to see if your or the Octopus prediction comes true.”

“Nobby Solano?- The quest for possible summer signings is akin to seagulls on a refuse tip scavenging for tasty morsels!!
Just heard that Hull City have cancelled their pre-season fixture at Rotherham United, originally scheduled for Tuesday 20th July. Paranoia setting in, can we not afford the Coach?”

“Good mixed bag of posts on here; some observations:
Paul McShane will come back (to a lower standard) as a sharper and more focussed RB. Give him a chance.
Myhill is up for cash and we can cover his loss between the sticks.
Bullard is now getting tedious, get shot ASAP.
Cousin will go because of his cost; the boy can play if played right.
Like others, I thought the King / Cousin partnership excellent but Cousin must have a hold up / target man.
We need one (target man) for Cullen ¿ put the weight on his young shoulders as he will thrive on it.
Football finances are boring, but an ever more important topic for supporters nonetheless ¿ personally I skim over most.
The prices clubs wanted for players last season will have changed with the amount clubs now have to spend ¿ with the exception of a few with ¿Sugar Daddies¿ most clubs are basically potless ¿ even though many find it hard to accept.
I advocated Paolo Sousa all of last season, but I am over the moon with Nigel Pearson; these two will be the stars of the nPC and we will have the English one!
We have a squad nothing like the one that got us promoted ¿ look at the squad sheets.
The squad we have is capable of promotion ¿ lose those mentioned and bring in striker, another RB and a central midfield player and we are cooking on gas.
Geo, Driff ¿ take your tablets!!!
TonyM ¿ stop taking yours!!!
It¿s about time a line was drawn under the past and we all get behind the future.
The future¿s bright ¿ it¿s Black and Amber. UTT.”
