HULL CITY: Chelsea result has given us confidence – Boateng
FROM deflation to elation, it has been a week of contrasting moods at the KC Stadium.
After a frustrating 2-2 draw with Wolves delivered an unconvincing case for Hull City's Premier League survival last weekend, an uplifting point against Chelsea saw belief flooding back three days later.

Now, with Manchester City completing a hectic schedule on home soil, a hung KC jury waits to deliver its final verdict.
According to George Boateng, failure to beat Wolves remains a source of disappointment for the City dressing room.
But having seen confidence restored with a battling point against Carlo Ancelotti's title- favourites on Tuesday, the veteran midfielder believes the Tigers' home run can end on a satisfying note.
"Chelsea was a valuable point," he said. "Any point in the Premier League is vital but if you are in a situation like ours and you play a top-four team, a point is very valuable.
"What is more important, though, is the confidence that it will give the team. It should give us a big boost and a belief that we can go and beat teams like Chelsea.
"Before last Saturday we wanted to get four points against Wolves and Chelsea so when we drew against Wolves we were very disappointed.
"You could feel the atmosphere in the dressing room but the task then was to go and win against Chelsea.
"We knew it was possible and the task was to put them under pressure. We now must do that again with Manchester City. If we can get three points against them that would really kick us off."

“Confidence is great and good performances are great, but we really do need to start picking up a few wins. (not that I'm demanding 3 points from the world's richest club!)”

“I think Middlesboro made a big mistake when they let George Boateng go.His experience was sorely missed in their defence.Maybe he can't last the full 90,but he is a handy man to have in your squad.”

“Well looking at the fixtures of our rivals this weekend even a DRAW-1pt could be enough to send city up 3 places. As well as Man City are at going forward they are as bad defensively. Nobody anywhere as good as JT or Carvalho. Its this fact that gives the Tigers a great chance of a win imo.
But we must do the same to Tevez and Bellamy as we did Drogba & Anelka, ie. keep em guiet and No silly free kicks outside our box. 1-1 will do.”

“Win,loose or draw against Man City if the team play like they did against Chelski I will be 100% behind them as will all City fans.”
