Having initially joined for £50,000 from Aston Villa, the 26-year-old has become a reliable fixture in the sticks.
He had to compete for his place alongside Matt Duke last season, but has started the current campaign in good form and the Wales international is currently the Tigers' number one.
"He stepped up to the plate very admirably last season, albeit in difficult circumstances with Matt Duke breathing down his neck all year," Tigers boss Phil Brown told the club's official website.
Myhill will now be at the club until the end of the 2011-12 season.
