HULL CITY: Marney and Zayatte set to start player exodus
HULL City's player exodus looks set to start with the Tigers accepting a bid for midfielder Dean Marney from Burnley.
Both clubs are confident the deal will go through, despite the 26-year-old City star still to open discussions over personal terms at Turf Moor.

The Mail also understands French club St Etienne to be on the verge of making an offer for defender Kamil Zayatte, possibly in the region of £2m.
They have already contacted representatives of the 25-year-old Guinean international to discuss his salary demands.

It comes as the Tigers seek to cut their wage bill from £38.9m to just £15m ahead of their drop into the Championship next season.
Marney is to meet with officials at Burnley early next week, following the conclusion of City's Premier League season at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
Although details of the bid have not been confirmed by either club, the Mail understands City will receive a transfer fee for the ex-Tottenham midfielder, who still has two years to run on his deal at the KC Stadium.
But whilst Marney appears to have accepted the need to move on given City's financial situation, convincing Zayatte to leave may be more difficult.
The 25-year-old also has another two years left on his City deal and is reluctant to leave the English game.

“Ben W - do the maths kid - I ain't saying we'll keep all top players but, come the end of June our wage bill drops from 38.9m to 21m - with a 15m target - on PL wages thats not far off.
The honest players might take a cut and recoup if/when promoted. Get rid of the ones that won't take a cut.
Hence keep the lads who wanne play for the shirt and the city and not the freeloaders like Tony Warner, Mendy, Cousin and the like who play for the pound signs.....”

“No big loss here. We expect to lose players, so it is what it is.
Despite Zayatte's great scoring record (for the opposition), I think he was pretty good at the back for the most part - but he is replaceable.
Marney to Burnley - not really a step up for him!! Again, replaceable.
Peterborough are you listening? .... FAGAN is available!”

“Zayatte is a total liability in the back four. Replaced by Mouyokolo as first choice. If selling 2nd choice player eases the need to sell the first choice player - happy days.
Marney is a waste of space. He has no stomach for a fight which showed in his none appearance in later games (he had a stomach bug!!) He plays well in a winning team - our promotion season - otherwise forget him.”

“John- sell your ground at your peril. £60M?? It is in a crappy part of London- surrounded by crappy shops and crappy high rise tenemants- IF it was Chelski's Bridge or Fulham's Cottage then maybe £60M would be a decent punt for someone. But West Ham?? Dont be daft!!! As for moving into the OLYMPIC stadium- the name is the big hint- it would be (according to the international OLYMPIC comittee- IOC) ILLEGAL for anyone other than the Uk Athletics team to inhabit the Stadium after the 2012 Olympics. The contract between the IOC and the UKA is implicit- if the Olympics are to ever be held in this country again (even in 50 years time) any contract breaches would be brought up (including the flagrant breach this would be!)- BTW this is not my opinion- this is FACT and has been shown by multiple reports- both in the national press and also within the IOC also- they have been stated to be "gravely concerned" that such a situation would arise. So Mr West Ham fan- rather than come on a Hull City site and gloat and try and have sly digs- think about your own club- because contrary to your own beliefs- your club is in some serious brown and Sticky- most of the side will be sold in order to try and balance the debt (currently more than Portsmouth)- and TBH take Green, Upson, Parker and Noble out of your squad and it is threadbare at best. Ilan looks decent- but could see him going. Good bye- bubble blower.”

“sorry to disappoint you all. but sullivan has said that he expects some big investment coming in at west ham over the summer. and with the stadium being sold for around 60 million i cant see how west ham will go into administration. oh and by the way. lust in case you were wondering. ive just found out that matty upson is going to sign a new 3 year contract. happy days.”
