HULL CITY: Kamil Zayatte to join Foxes tomorrow and Ayala to arrive

KAMIL Zayatte looks to have played his final game for Hull City after agreeing to join Championship rivals Leicester on-loan tomorrow.

The 25-year-old is expected to tie up the switch when the loan window re-opens for Football League clubs as he becomes the latest in a cast of high-earners to depart the KC Stadium.

Leicester had hoped to complete the transfer before last week's transfer deadline, but have since returned with a loan deal which has been approved by City.

Zayatte, who played and scored in Guinea's 4-1 win over Ethiopia on Sunday, is expected to be back in England today to finalise terms. Providing he can impress Foxes boss Paulo Sousa, a loan should eventually lead to a permanent switch – thought to be worth around £1m – in January.

Leicester striker Matty Fryatt had been linked as a make-weight in the deal, but the Mail understands that will not be entertained by the Foxes.

Despite starting all four of City's Championship fixtures this season, Zayatte's exit will not be met with any great surprise.

It is understood the defender has grown increasingly unsettled following wholesale changes in the last three months. He actively pursued a move to escape the final two years of his current deal.

Fellow French-speakers Bernard Mendy, Daniel Cousin and Kamel Ghilas have all departed to leave Zayatte bereft of close friends in the City camp.

A string of poor performances to start this season have been enough to convince boss Nigel Pearson his exit would suit all parties and allow the Tigers to move for Liverpool rookie Daniel Ayala.

According to sources in the North West, a loan raid for Ayala had been agreed before the transfer deadline and with Zayatte shifting around £20,000-a-week off the wage bill, Pearson now has room for manoeuvre.

With Anthony Gardner also heading out on loan to Crystal Palace last week, the opening day's first choice central defensive pairing have now been discarded.

Anthony Gerrard, who joined on a season-long loan seven days ago, will make his debut against parent club Cardiff alongside local rookie Liam Cooper on Saturday and will expect a baptism of fire from a Craig Bellamy-inspired Bluebirds attack.

Zayatte's imminent exit would take the casualty list to 21 professionals to have left the City first-team squad since relegation from the top flight was confirmed in May.

City would like to see that figure increased further by off-loading Peter Halmosi.

The Hungarian international is yet to make an appearance under Pearson and having been an unused substitute in the League Cup defeat to Brentford a fortnight ago, is behind Will Atkinson and Jamie Devitt in the pecking order.

Sheffield United have been in contact over Halmosi, but have been unable to meet the winger's wages of around £20,000-a-week. But City would be open to offers when the loan window allows trade in the Championship from tomorrow.

“Lamberetthombre. I to speak German,, passable fFench Catalunyan and Castillian spanish and can follow a conversation in most romance based languages. The only people with whom I have a communication difficulties is those regretabb[ley of my home town, who on failing to understand a very simple joke use adjectives such as "You tool" Normally it is beneath me to reply your comment at your own level. Please indulged yourself in a little Castillian Spanish research and look up the word "Culo". If you have any difficulty finding it there is one in your shaving mirror Del boy, lamberreta hunting

It's a pity one of the languages your fluent in isn't English, I can barely read that drivel.”
