HULL FC: Agar looks for best home record and fourth place
HULL FC coach Richard Agar believes an 11th home victory of the season against Leeds today would be the ideal reward for all his side's hard work.
Playing host to Leeds in a winner-takes-fourth clash at the KC Stadium (4.30pm), a win would hand Hull the chance to boast of the best home record in Super League.

Winning 10 of their 12 home games this season, their two defeats have come at the hands of Minor Premier winners Wigan and Cup winners Warrington.
That record is shared by the Wolves, but with Warrington having completed their home programme Hull have a chance to stand proudly as the best home team for 2010 should they beat the Rhinos.
"We are hoping to finish the regular season with a good win and aiming to have the best home record in the competition," Agar told the Mail.
"That would be just rewards for all the hard work we have put in this year.
"We have been working hard for each other at home.
"Our home record is something the boys have taken great pride in and we have to look at the fans in that too, because they have played their part."
With more than 15,000 fans expected for the televised round 27 match, Hull are on course for a non-derby record crowd for 2010.
Agar says the support of the FC faithful has impressed everyone this year and continues to be an important factor for the team.
He added: "We have had great support at the KC this year, as we always do, and they've played their part in creating some special atmospheres, which has not gone unnoticed by our guys.
"This game should be another of those great atmospheres and we know the fans will really support us."
With Sean Long and Richard Horne back from lengthy injury absences, optimism is high Hull will show a new dynamism in attack.
A facet which has been the team's weak point at times this season, hopes are high the duo can help the Black and Whites be more clinical.
But Agar insists his team's defensive performance is equally as important.
"People maybe do overlook some of our defensive performances this season," explained Agar.
"We have given good defensive shows and improved.
"Like any team we have had our blips, but generally in the important games we have defended well. We will need to do that again against Leeds to get that win."

“Dull fans instead of worrying about where rovers are getting their money etc, why not ask the question....we have largest crowds, shirt sales etc why are dull not recruiting top players and spending all this money we make on a team that could take the league by storm?.”

“Slammer, you say it its bunkam that KR are going bust, well in my e-mail i was merely asking were KR were getting the money from to finance these deals for Mason and Green and anyone else they may bring in , not once did i imply that i thought that KR was going bust because i dont get involved in all that rubbish , only what goes on the field is my intrest , also IMO any player not born in the UK should be clased as an overseas player and its garbage all this quota stuff and i dont care what club these players play for if my team FC have these players then they should be counted as overseas players and it should be around 4 per club at the most and right now FC have about 7.8 and KR have about 10/11 so i feel this is wrong and its stopping younger British players coming through.”

“rayfc, why are you bringing up the old chestnut that rovers are going broke or are skint? It is bunkum and you know it.
As for Rovers having a large number of overseas players, they are complying with RFLs rules so what is the problem?
There's more, Rovers are waiting for an RFL ruling to see if Willie Mason will be counted as a quota player, if he isnt then I know Rovers have their sights on a NZ player. other pending recruits may well be Craig Hall and Georg Mounis with Rovers releasing Chev Walker, Scott Wheeldon and David Mills.”

“Dexter, as an FC fan i very much want FC to win some silverware just like at Cardiff in 2005 that was a brilliant day, but realisticly with this present team we are not going to do that because we are not good enough , the thing is as fans we constantly get i hopes up and then they are dashed , just like yesterday we were 12-0 up and fighting to keep the 4th place and now we have finished 6th and instead of having 2 chances we are now in the sudden death stage so affectivly our season could be over next week at this time , i do hope we can beat KR and have a good go in the playoffs but await that with baited breath, we desperatly need to bring in at least 3/4 new players otherwise we will win nothing over the next few seasons, so you see why i say these things , KR are strenghtning and we need to do the same and i am not a big fan of Agar, as we dont play enough expansive Rugby under him and thats been proved by the fact that we aqre one of the lowest at scoring points in the top 8, anyway were do you think we need strenghtening, also we should not have kept Radford he should have been let go along with Dowes and Cusack, so to me thats a backwards step.”
