HULL FC captain Andy Lynch says he'll have no problem putting friendships aside when facing his former Bradford team-mates for the first time on Sunday.

The 32-year-old ex-Bulls star will lock horns with his old employers when the two meet at the KC Stadium for Lee Radford's testimonial (kick-off 3pm).

For Lynch, who spent seven years at Odsal, the match represents an early chance to meet up with some familiar faces.

But with Hull bidding to improve on last weekend's derby defeat in their first run-out, Lynch says his focus is on making sure his new club perform to their best.

"It will be a bit strange because I was at Bradford a while but it is part and parcel of the game when you meet your old clubs. I'm Hull FC captain now, it is my job to perform for this team," Lynch told the Mail.

"I'm approaching it as just another game.

"It will be a bit strange at first but once the whistle goes I'll be looking to perform and do what I have to do to get the result for Hull.

"We are looking forward to this game, errors will come in trial games, but that is what they are there for.

"The things we do wrong we will put right in training and then, when we play Warrington, hopefully it will be all fixed and we'll be ready to go."

Lynch is hoping a large contingent of FC fans turn out for his side's second and final warm-up encounter. While for his team the match represents a last chance to iron out a few issues before facing Warrington, the game also represents a chance for Radford to bid farewell to a hugely successful playing career.

Having played alongside Radford at the Bulls in their 2005 Grand Final-winning season, Lynch and the Hull assistant coach go back a long way.

Calling his former team-mate one of the great servants to rugby league on and off the pitch, Hull's current captain is hoping the former captain gets a chance to bow out in style.

"Radders was about 29 when I started at Bradford and now he's knocking on for 40 it will be good to play alongside him for one last time," adds Lynch with more than a hint of sarcasm.

"He has done a lot in the game not just for Hull but for Bradford where he was very successful. He's done a lot for the amateur game too at East Hull and has been a great servant to our game.

"He's never changed over the years and even when I started at Bradford you could tell he had the knowledge and understanding of the game to be a good coach.

"Lee is a good assistant, he helps the front rowers and he's good to be able to turn to about things. He'll be on the park for 80 minutes on Sunday, so Peter keeps telling him, but I don't know about playing, he'll do well to last that long at his age."

“I was away at the weekend so cannot comment on the derby game. What I will say is that in Lynch we have a worthy successor to Fitz and Radders. We are on the up and the dobbins have the bragging rights at this time but on we move..............
There is shortly to be a discussion taking place with regard to standing areas being reinstated in all seater stadia. This discussion will be on the 11-2-12 and will involve a FC supporters representative, HCOSC, FSA, Hull City, Stadium management company, John Cooper and the local MPs and councillors. The views of the FC faithful will be taken on board and aired at this meeting.
In talks with FC voices they have volunteered to be at this meeting as our representative”

“Of course Eddy is SadDobbin, and what a barrel of fibs.....of course, just like SadDobbin he appears at 12. And he writes exactly the same as SadDobbin, the only poster on here to start new paragraphs without line break and a space.

It is confirmed by his obsession with Slammer.

Wonder if he's been having any more bottles of wine with Stevo, games of golf with Dobson's surgeon, or on any more flights that didn't exist?

    Ha ha ha ha....”

    “Slammer,

You make some very vaild points re Bradford. I am not sure yet as to the motivations of the RFL and as always it will come out in drips and drabs. You are right with regards to the rent, what benefit is there to Bradford in this? None if what we are told so far but I suggest we are not in receipt of the full facts.

As for why the RFL would help Bradford and not say Wakey. I think it has something to do with the crowds Bradford can attract. Our sport needs people watchng it and Bradford can do that in greater numbers then a Wakey. Although I appreciate £50 for a season ticket has a lot to do with that. How many do you think FC or Rovers would sell at £50? I would suggest more than Bradord.”
