MARK O'Meley and Craig Fitzgibbon will both return for Hull FC at Harlequins this weekend.

The two former Australian internationals came through a rigorous training session yesterday to hand Richard Agar a boost ahead of the trip to the Stoop.

With Danny Tickle set to return following a one-week suspension, Agar says he is delighted to be able to call upon their services again.

"They are players who provide a lot of quality and experience so we are glad to have them back at this stage," Agar told the Mail.

"All three have been in good consistent form and there is no doubting we are a better side with them in the team."

O'Meley has missed almost two months with a calf injury and will make his first appearance since the win against St Helens on June 4.

Fitzgibbon has missed the last two games with a sore Achilles.

After missing six first-team players in last week's 46-0 defeat to league leaders Wigan, Agar says the return of his senior players at this stage of the campaign is key.

He added: "If Wigan are the benchmark we realised we need to have a fully fit and firing 17.

"Having these guys back helps us, but we need to improve too. Our intensity in defence was not good enough last week and that needs to be much better.

"We need to make sure we have better control of the ruck too, as well as a far better kicking game.

"In the derby I thought we kicked well and were disciplined, but last week we went away from that and our kicking game was not good enough."
