LEE Radford will today appeal against the one-match ban which could see him miss the biggest derby clash in 30 years.

Radford was sent off for the first time in his career after punching Ryan Bailey in the 10th minute of Saturday's Super League defeat to Leeds Rhinos at the KC Stadium.

And that has earned him a one-game ban from the RFL's disciplinary committee, meaning he is now suspended for the 'do-or-die derby' clash with Hull KR.

But sources at Hull have told the Mail that Radford will contest the decision at Red Hall, in Leeds, today.

As well as being suspended, he was fined £300 after being found guilty of a Grade A offence.

Radford received a red card from referee Ian Smith following the incident and missed 70 minutes, effectively meaning he would serve a two-game ban.

“ray of course your right about a derby final being bigger than a playoff round, but one has to remember that the dobbins have never won a playoff game in s/l.on top of that most of the posters were not around at the time of the finals you have remembered”
