HULL FC: Lee Radford makes successful appeal against ban
LEE Radford's appeal against his one-match ban has been successful.
It leaves him free to play in Hull FC's mouth-watering play-off derby clash against Hull KR.

Lee Radford.
However, the £300 fine and the guilty verdict still stands.
The ban was originally imposed on Radford for punching Leeds prop Ryan Bailey in Saturday's final match of the regular Super League season.

“Could not agree more HOTSHOT. The only thing you failed to mention was the attempted headbutt Bailey also did in the same incident”

“Basher from york, i would have my eyes tesed if were you ,Bailey a defenceless player, what a load of tosh he blatently elbowed Radders, and that is what provoked him,if anything both players should have been sin-binned to defuse the situation, Bailey soon got up and had to be held back and after the appeal ,sense prevailed and radders one match ban was quashed, the rugby league after looking in more detail at the incident quashed it .So much for a defenceless Bailey .”

“What a complete and utter joke the RFL are! The first point to consider is that Radford should have been penalised for holding down. That tackle typified why we are so far behind the Aussies, too much messing about around the ruck. If players weren't told to slow the play the ball down so much we might have a competition which rivals the NRL. Secondly in almost every game of rugby league there are "stray" elbows, knees, fists, etc. It is impossible to say whether Bailey's elbow was intentional. Even if it was as a pro player Radford should have just laughed at him. Unfortunatelty Radford saw the red mist and punched a defenceless player whilst still on the ground. I am a York fan and do not favour any of the Hull sides, although I am looking forward to Saturdays game. This kind of decision makes rugby league (the game I love) a laughing stock!”

“Whoop Whoop!!!! wanna see a big game from Radders, come on Hull. time for one last big push in the playoffs. show that we've got what it takes to play in the bag games. although there has been some good signs this season i feel we haven't quite got in to top gear all year. maybe 2nd half against Saints at KC. it would be nice to walk away from the KC on Saturday saying "now thats a performance to be proud of" and with an almost full strength team, who knows?...having said all that an ugly win would still fill me with enough joy to see me though to the next playoff....”
