SHAUN Briscoe believes Hull KR will extend their historic season even further by securing a home victory over Wigan tonight.

Rovers know there is no second bite of the cherry if they lose, but a win would put them just 80 minutes away from a possible Grand Final appearance.

For now, Briscoe is only concerned about tonight's clash and knows his side need to play a complete game to progress.

With a large crowd expected to pack into Craven Park, the vice captain wants to send them home happy and delay the off-season for at least another week.

Briscoe told the Mail: "We believe in each other and we know what we are capable of if we put it all together tonight. I don't think our season will end here.

"There is no question we have to play for the entire 80 minutes.

"We have to do the little things right. This is play-off rugby and it's completely different to the 27 rounds of the normal season.

"The aspects you concentrate on in a normal game are very different."

Nevertheless, getting off to a good start will be imperative against a Wigan wide who can hurt teams when they build up their own momentum.

But with Jake Webster, Ben Galea and Scott Murrell all joining fit-again Briscoe back in the side, he feels they have a better balance about them.

That was missing in last week's 44-8 defeat at Leeds, but a second win of the season over Wigan is now a real possibility.

With everyone fully fit, Briscoe is sure the team will pick itself and the 26-year-old can't wait for kick-off to arrive.

"To have four players back in their familiar positions will help us," explained the full-back.

"We can go back to setting ourselves up in the way we have been doing for the last nine months.

"We can run the same patterns with the same people in the same places.

"That will be the biggest benefit from the four of us returning tonight.

"People know what places people will run into and for myself, being out there with Paul Cooke and Kris Welham and Ben Galea on that side, I'll know their game better than Daniel Fitzhenry did last week.

"It's the same on the other side too. Knowing the personnel around you helps a lot.

"It's do-or-die and win at all costs."

That approach is shared by Rovers' coach Justin Morgan.

Morgan believes the side that handles the pressure best will reach the final four.

"There's no tomorrow if you don't win," Morgan told the Mail.

"There is going to be pressure, that's inevitable.

"Whether it's in the first minute or the 79th minute there will be pressure.

"We have been very comfortable at training this week and we will need to be relaxed.

"When we are relaxed we tend to be more competitive and that will be the key."

“you Hull fans are so pathetic, your season just consisted of hoping Rovers lost. Oh dear. you've forgotten how to shout for your team as you have been so obsessed with KR. panic? why? we lost form at the end of the season, in our last three games. Your team has been rubbish for its last 50-odd matches. its a wonder you hull fans don't come to watch rovers instead cos you're more bothered about our results than those of your own club. when you make the playoffs then maybe you can come and criticise.”

“I think the dobbins are starting to panic going on some of these posts.Spitting Chips, their most experienced players jumping ship to be replaced by reserve team players. No major signings, conning money out of fans for the season tickets early.Whilst FC continue to announce major sponsers and signings.Oh hang on there all past it,just like Crocker, but wait a minute he might be coming to Rovers and now he's world class again.Finished 4th and was no nearer to old trafford then Celtic crusaders.”

“dobbin, dipstick - you get a place in the play-offs for finishing fourth, you know, what all the teams are trying to finish in the top eight for. I can see how you Hull fans need reminding of that, having finishined 11th and 12th in the last few seasons. What exactly do you lot have to boast about from 2009 then? Two derby defeats, out the cup and home to salford and finishing a few points above Salford. You should learn to keep your traps shut cos you have NOTHING to crow about whatsoever. 7-3.”

“'Stoz' - its a very long time since your lot beat Rovers, what the hell are you talking about? Seems funny that you have to rely on the likes of Wigan and Leeds to beat Rovers since the black and whites certainly aren't up to it any more.”

“We are the best in the world! We are the best in the world! We have beaten Hull Kingston Rovers 30-16 in Rugby League!! It is completely unbelievable! We have beaten Rovers! Rovers, birthplace of giants. Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana--we have beaten them all. We have beaten them all. Maggie Thatcher can you hear me?"
"Maggie Thatcher, I have a message for you in the middle of the election campaign. I have a message for you: We have knocked Hull Kingston Rovers out of the Super League play-offs! Maggie Thatcher, as they say in your language in the boxing bars around Madison Square Gardens in New York: Your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!!!!!”
