MICHAEL Dobson has been named as Hull KR's official Player of the Year at the club's end-of-season awards ceremony.

Dobson has had another superb season and is in contention to be selected in this season's Dream Team for the second successive season.

His all-round game continues to blossom while his goal-kicking is amongst the best in Super League.

Since arriving at Rovers in May 2008, he has yet to miss a minute of any game.

This season he has scored 11 tries, had 28 assists, kicked 100 goals, three drop goals and five 40/20s.

Having already won the "Club Rovers" official Player of the Year award, the honour was his second of the season.

Rhys Lovegrove won the Players' Player of the Year award.

Liam Watts was named Young Player of the Year.

Scott Murrell and Ben Cockayne received special awards for passing the 100 game milestone for KR.

Cockayne also picked up Fans' Forum Player of the Year award.

Peter Fox's score against Bradford was Try of the Season while Kris Welham's tackle on Crusaders' Vince Mellars was named Tackle of the Season.

Retail executive Sue Thompson received a special recognition award for off-field achievements.

“Well done Dobbo, so deserved! Dobbo has been brilliant for us all season, hardly ever puts a foot wrong, and when he does is the first to try rectify it. We're very lucky to have him, long may he reign!!”
