HULL KR are expected to be without Joel Clinton and Ben Galea for their Super League opener at home to Salford on Sunday.

As first exclusively revealed by the Mail, the Australian prop has penned a three-year deal with the Robins but is still awaiting his visa before the club officially announce his signing.

But KR chairman Neil Hudgell has given his first hint yet that former Brisbane prop Clinton is on his way to Craven Park.

"We are confident he will get a visa in the end," said Hudgell in the Guardian.

"But at the moment it's looking unlikely that it will be sorted in time for him to play on Sunday."

Galea is still recovering from the medial knee ligament injury he picked up in the early stages of last week's 18-16 friendly defeat to Bradford.

The loose forward, who is currently in talks about a new deal, limped off after just a couple of minutes to be replaced by Chaz I'Anson.

“Just a quick repost to that idiot10-5 and Gazzer, one and the same person I feel. If rentinga stadium which is the envy of ALL other SL clubs and posting year on year profits, attracting a superb average attendance despite very poor seasons makes Hull a laughing stock, then laugh on guys. Lets put things in perspective, your own chairman has said that anything less than 10,000 minimum will constitute a loss for your debt ridden club has he not? Be interesting to see how many bandwaggon SL converts actually vote with their feet against Salford then will it not? 7500 at the very most and that is because of the expectation of replicating last seasons achievements which, I and most pundits agree, is not likely to happen. So applying Hudgells theory,25% attendance deficit on where you need to be to break even, not generate profit, spells only one thing to most of us, more debt which will compound the already dire situation your lot find themselves in by trying to run before you can walk. You may well boast a good recent derby record, that I suspect is the problem, all things are focussed on Hull FC and you miss the bigger picture which will ultimately jeopardise your whole standing as o Club, which is a shame for the TRUE fans who supported the club throughout the darker periods of the club's history.”

“Gazzer and 10,5 our club`s name has never officially been Hull FC. tHE fc suufix merely stands for football club and has been shortened from RLFC (Rugby Leaague Football Club), the suffix that all rugby league clubs have e.g. Hull Kingston Rovers RLFC etc. Our great club has always and always will be HULL. Long time HULL supporters never refer to the club/team as FC and never will. The FC addition / tag has been adopted over a number of years and is usually used by out of towners to seperate KR from "FC". In these times of marketing gimmicks, the club has adopted the use of the FC suffix more and more in order to compete, in marketing terms, with clubs that use silly suffixes such as Warriors, Rhinos, etc. Hull Kingston Rover are the Kingston Rovers because they needed to identify themselves as different from the existing and original Hull Riugby League Football Club.”
