HULL KR: Mike Smith unveiled as new Rovers chief executive
MIKE Smith has been named as Hull KR's new chief executive.
The 48-year-old was officially revealed as Rovers' new chief executive last night at the club's presentation night, replacing Neil Hudgell who stood down from the role but will remain as chairman.
Smith has been working hard on completing the signings of Blake Green and Willie Mason and will focus on ground developments to make sure the east stand extension and north stand are completed as soon as possible.
Smith admits he is privileged to be appointed chief executive and hopes the stadium improvements are delivered on time.
"It's a great honour for me to be appointed chief executive of a club with the stature like Hull KR," Smith told the Mail.
"Neil wants to relinquish the role and I'm more than happy to do it but he will be there as a sounding board for me as he has done it all before.
"I'm glad to be a part of what promises to be a very exciting two or three years."
