HULL KR: Welham has a dream (video)
HULL KR star Kris Welham believes he can end a dream season by walking out with the Robins in the Super League Grand Final.
The centre has emerged as a major star in the KR side this year – capped by being named Young Player of the Year for the second successive campaign last night.

He admits his only target at the start of the season was winning his place in the team.
But now the Hull-born 22-year-old has set his sights on walking away with the biggest prize in the British game.
"Our confidence is rising with every win and we don't want that to stop," Welham told the Mail.
"Momentum plays a big part in the play-offs and hopefully we can continue building that all the way to Old Trafford.
"At the beginning of the year I could only dream about playing in every game.
"My goal was just to put pressure on Chev Walker and Jake Webster and hopefully pinch a game here and there."
Welham's stock continues to grow with every game he plays.
He's played every minute of the Super League season and weighed in with 14 tries.
He has also developed what has been labelled a 'Kris Welham trademark tackle' by coach Justin Morgan, in which he forces the opposition to spill possession by quickly moving out of the defensive line.
Twice on Saturday he was in the right place at the right time to punish Warrington for their careless passing.
He scored the all important try from 70 metres to give Rovers a 22-12 interval lead before sending Peter Fox away to score from 60 metres.
It's contribution like that which he admits has helped him settle into the team.
"I'm not getting too carried away because this is my first full year playing in Super League," he said.
"But I feel more a part of the team this year and I feel like one of the boys."
"I feel things are beginning to click for me.
"It helped that I got a full pre-season under my belt and I started hanging around with the boys outside of rugby.
"Last year I played a few games but I felt like a young kid. I don't think they look at me as one of the young kids now."
Looking ahead to Saturday's trip to Wakefield, Welham says it was important that KR do not let their intensity drop.
He said: "We don't want to go into the play-offs on the back of a defeat.
"It's very hard at this stage of the season to rebuild momentum.
"In an ideal world, it would be perfect to get the win and keep the run going."
Hull KR awards night – major winners:
Michael Dobson (Players Player of the Year), Shaun Briscoe (Player of the Year and Fans Forum Player of the Year), Kris Welham (Young Player of the Year), Billy Mallinson (Outstanding Contribution Award)

“What's more important is the pairing partnership between Welham and Foxy......both very young English players and already scored 30 tries between them this season, they can only get better and very soon I'm sure you'll see them in the England team.”

“Kris Welham has been a revelation this season and has merited his place in the team, and the award. He is deceptively fast and seems to punch way above his weight in the tackle and when he takes the ball up. I spoke to westwood after the last game and he said he doesnt tackle you, he clatters you! I didnt realise he had reached 14 tries this season which is an excellent return, and I feel he has some more in the bank before the season finishes. keep up the great work Kris you are not only one of the lads but a favourite of the fans as well.”
