Specialist primary care development company GPI began work on the site in October 2007 and construction was completed in November last year. The first services moved in to the new building in December.
The new centre, which took 12 months to build, will provide GP facilities for services to more than 15,000 patients as well a number of other primary health care services.
The new building will be home to community and district nursing, dentistry, podiatry and the newly launched neighbourhood health team covering Goole and Howdenshire.
The new centre will also provide leg ulcer clinics, sexual health clinics and specialist nursing services, as well as dental services.
