NORTH Ferriby will look to take their good festive form into the New Year today when hosting Blyth Spartans at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.

Two away wins over the Christmas period have seen the Villagers open up a four-point gap on second-place Hednesford.

Visitors Blyth, who were relegated from the Blue Square Bet Conference North last season, have struggled to find consistency and are currently in a mid-table position.

They will, however, no doubt provide Billy Heath's side with a stern physical test this afternoon.

Heath was delighted with his side's five goal demolition of bottom club Eastwood Town on Saturday, and is looking to build on that result.

"It was a good all-round team performance," he said.

"We had chances to finish them off earlier than we did and perhaps could have won by more."

Ferriby's next few fixtures will see them face some of the league's strugglers, and Heath will certainly ensure his side do not become complacent over the coming weeks.

"The key to playing struggling teams is to give them respect but still play your own game," he said.

"If you don't respect your opponents you risk putting in a poor display."

Gregg Anderson is available again for selection and Heath should have the luxury of a full squad to choose from.

Ferriby squad: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Steve Gardner, Steve Ridley, Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Dean Lisles, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw.
