Heavy traffic as Hull Fair opens
Motorists heading from the city centre into west Hull this evening are being warned of heavy traffic due to the opening of Hull Fair.
Traffic is moving slowly in Spring Bank, Chanterlands Avenue and on Castle Street.

The fair officially opened at 5pm with a parade down Walton Street, featuring the Lord Mayor. We'll post a report on the event later this evening.
Hull City Council has faced calls for a review of its roadworks programmes following days of rush-hour congestion due to the closure of County Road North flyover, among other work.
