Hemsworth are far too strong for Hessle
RUGBY UNION
HESSLE were never in the hunt at Hemsworth as they went down to a 36-0 defeat in Yorkshire Division Three.
The visitors suffered a blow when stand-off Carl Dixon injured his back in the warm-up and had to pull out.
With scrum-half Courtney Spicer missing, Hessle started with a half-back pairing of Lee Rollinson and Josh Moore.

Only a well-timed tackle by Jimmy Harrison prevented an early Hemsworth try.
However, in the next play Hessle were penalised for a high tackle and from the tap a series of drives ended with Charlie Briscoe crashing over for a try, converted by Joe Thompson.
A kick by Josh Moore was taken by Thompson who broke through and handed on to Matt Hawcroft, who waltzed in for a 15th-minute try.
Thompson converted to make it 14-0.
Hessle got into the home half for the first time after 20 minutes, but Hemsworth went further ahead with a penalty goal from Thompson.
Keith Yates and Dave Robinson produced some strong running and Robinson powered over, but could not ground the ball.
Hessle came close again through Jon Casey but the visitors were penalised and following a quick tap Mark Tepper broke away on a 70-yard run for a try. Thompson goaled and it was 24-0 at half-time.
Joe Colville brought off a try-saving tackle early in the second period, but quick handling ended with Dale Jobans crossing for a try.
The hosts went over for their fifth try when Rob Taylor finished off a 50-yard move. Thompson added the goal to make it 36-0 after 56 minutes.
Hessle tightened up their defence and prevented Hemsworth adding to their tally.
Colville and Harrison made strong bursts as Hessle ended the game on the attack as a run by Yates almost produced a try for Mike Ayers, who was bundled into touch near the corner flag.
