Hessle-based Classlane Media has been nominated for a Royal Television Society (RTS) Yorkshire Best Promotion Award.

The company was put forward for the accolade by national hairdressing chain Saks after producing its latest campaign video, Indulgence.

The video is used to promote the hairdresser's signature looks, which are created by Andrew Barton, star of Channel 4's Ten Years Younger and current British Hairdresser of the year.

It was recorded in five days at studios in London.

Dave Beasley, managing director of Classlane, said he thought the company had been nominated because the technology used to create the video was so advanced.

He said: “I think it's very contemporary. It's very exciting and it's highly stylised.

“The video captivates people, they find inspiration in what they are seeing.”

Mr Beasley said the company was delighted to have received the nomination.

He said: “Not wanting to be big-headed, it shows how good we are. Saks has the choice of companies that are based in central London, but they still come to us.”

Mr Beasley said as well as making fashion videos, the company applied the same technology and creative thought to corporate projects.

He said: “We can bring a bit of high fashion back to the corporate market and make it funky and sexy,” .

Classlane Media will find out if it has won when the Royal Television Society Yorkshire award winners are announced on June 16 at a ceremony in Leeds.
