Hull KR: Injury forces Josh Hodgson out of England Knights squad
HULL KR's player of the season Josh Hodgson will miss out on representing England Knights later this month because of a fractured foot.
The Robins star, who swept the board of individual awards at the club's end-of-season dinner, was a certainty to be named in the Knights squad to face Ireland in Belfast on October 19.

But the 22-year-old, who has been coaching local amateur side Skirlaugh and suffered the injury in training, ruling him out of action for six weeks.
"Josh was training the amateur team and went over his foot," Rovers coach Craig Sandercock told the Mail.

"He picked up a small fracture and will be out for between four to six weeks.
"That will rule him out of the Knights game against Ireland and it's a big blow for Josh as he had a great season for us.
"The good news is that Josh should be ready for the start of our pre-season on November 5."
Hodgson was an outstanding player for the Knights against the Irish in June.
He was then promoted to England's first team for their second International Origin game against the Exiles and was 18th man.
"I keep telling coach Steve McNamara that Josh is the perfect player to play representative rugby because he can play in so many different positions," Sandercock added.
ROVERS remain in negotiations with Wigan over the transfer of prop Scott Taylor.
The Mail understands a deal has been agreed in principal, but negotiations continue over the value of the deal, with KR keen to bring players to Craven Park. But full-back Matty Russell has signed a deal with NRL club Gold Coast Titans.

“australianoz thanks for that update, and i try not to speculate but i usally just leave it for the other side to do also a freind who i work with did tell me before the passes were announced that they would be up by 10% and on sale 13th, also she says kr home shirt on sale 6th dec she heard mainly red with white band but like she says dont take that as being final, i did apparantly hear today by a freind fc fan that fc are after brett hodgeson? cannot see that happen but you never know”

“bigred2012....situation is still fluid with Dobson,if a replacement can be found he will go.Not to much movement at the moment re the aussie youngsters,the offers are on the table but now you get into visas and how they can be signed and which group they can be registered as on the quota.I know pre season is going to be very tough and the schedules are done.Those who need minor surgery are being dealt with and then its a case of waiting to get back into training.Sorry its not very exciting but thats how it is,i can only tell you what i know,i dont speculate.Season ticket and new shirt is my next priority,yes i could get complimentry tickets but ive sat in th same 2 seats( old and new craven park)for over 45 seasons and basically with the same people and enjoy the company.Anything happens ill be on here letting you know.”
