Hornsea Heroes: Great Scotts are a dynamic duo
This month Freeport Hornsea and the Hornsea Post are nominating two very deserving people for the Hornsea Hero award.
Christine and Neville Scott have been involved with numerous local charities and organisations over the years including the Hornsea Carnival Committee, Hornsea Lions and the youth voice group Hi Pac, run by the pupils at Hornsea School and Language College.

Helping each organisation gave them great satisfaction but stretched their time to the limit and with Neville having health problems they had to cut back on a number of their commitments.
Having said this, they both still carry out many duties and valuable services to the residents of Hornsea and surrounding area.
Neville is involved with the British Heart Foundation Charity and was an instigator of the very popular Fun Run in Hallgarth Park in the summer.
Next year he is organising an even larger event with the support of the Hornsea Rotary Club which he is calling a Monster Meet and will have running events for everyone from tots to elite runners.
Neville can be seen nearly every day of the week driving the Lions bus, ferrying people to different meetings with Christine sitting at his side and assisting him.
On Mondays they carry out a valuable bus run for the Pop In Centre when they set off at 8.30am, collecting pensioners from all over the area and bringing them to the church hall for their meeting, and do not finish taking them home until 1pm.
Sylvia Burton, chairwoman of the Pop In Centre, said: "Nothing is too much for this very caring couple and we cannot thank them enough for all the time they give voluntarily not only to our organisation but the many others in Hornsea."
Christine had her own challenge this year when she tackled the Three Peaks in North Yorkshire, raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
Although she did not manage to complete it due to an injury, she thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
So along with celebrating their Ruby Wedding this year, it seems this couple have not eased off as planned, just diversified their boundless energy to other areas – much to the benefit of the people of Hornsea and many charities and organisations.
