FOLLOWING media reports about the hospitals, my husband and I have both spent time in the past six months in Coronary Care at Scunthorpe hospital and my husband under the magnificent care of Team Castle Hill, Hull, where he underwent an extremely intricate second (after 14 years) coronary bypass with complications.

The never-ending attention in Scunthorpe Coronary Care would set an example to anywhere in the country, I am sure. The doctors, nursing staff and their colleagues work so hard and there was never a cross or tired word. The food is really good, so what more could you want?

At Castle Hill the expertise is absolutely amazing, the teams working so well together and we salute and thank you all.

However, I would add that some of the office administration before you actually get to the hospital leaves a bit to be desired. We have had confidential correspondence for people with a similar name, follow up appointments before actually having any procedure and assurances that procedures will be faxed across to Hull where there was no mention that the relevant patient was on their computer.
