HULL City boss Steve Bruce will not face any disciplinary action from the Football Association in the wake of his dismissal in Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Leicester.

Bruce was sent to the stands late in the game when he vehemently contested a decision with the match officials at the King Power Stadium.

The Tigers boss immediately issued an apology to referee Eddie Ilderton and his assistants, admitting he had behaved like a "raving lunatic."

A fine or even a touchline ban could have been issued to Bruce but the FA have this morning confirmed that no disciplinary action will be taken against Bruce. A letter "reminding him of his responsibilities" is all that will be issued.
