“Good luck with your application for the Lincoln job Phil. You are too good a manager to be out of the game for so long. It was never boring whilst you were at The Tigers.Likewise Oakland Tiger there are some good jobs in Australasia and the lifestyle very good.”

“best wishes to a Tiger legend hope you get a job soon Phil if the worse comes to the worse you could apply for MLS jobs it's about upper League 1 standard and you'd have a pretty good lifestyle here in the States and the 24 hour media here would love you !”

“Would be a good manager for the Imps. (Used to live opposite the ground when I was a lad!!)
At the end of the day he took us over as a caretaker manager when we were in the relegation zone and saved us from relegation. Then got us promoted for the first time in our history and kept us up for a season when all the pundits said we would "do a Derby" and end up bottom! Can't complain with a record like that. I sure he has learnt from his mistakes in his last year with us. Managing Jimmy Bullard must have been a nightmare!!”

“We all know Brownie made some mistakes at Hull, but I cannot understand why he is still out of a management job. Hope he gets it but, saying that, I would miss his contribution on BBC 5Live as a pundit who knows what he's talking about, rather than some who have never managed a club, like that goon Robbie Savage, what a big mouthed buffoon Savage is.”

“They could certainly do worse and that includes a bargain-basement assistant in Dean Windass - alot more realistic and constructive, but highly improbable as a pairing.”

“I think this could be a very astute choice for Lincoln. Phil Brown is a very talented manager and if he has the support he wants could really turn Lincoln around. Phil you always have my support!!!!!”
